The Official Rules of The Chat Lounge
You must read these before posting anything!

What's Not Allowed:

- No spamming: This is the #1 rule here at The Chat Lounge. Everyone hates to see spam going on, so just don't do it! It's pointless and annoying, and all you do is waste your time with it. That means that your posts must contribute to the thread, or it's considered spam. Make sure you type in proper english like I'm doing, I don't want to see you using AIM talk. Make sure we can read your posts clearly, and make sure your posts serve a purpose, because I don't want to see twenty two-word posts just saying "oh cool" or "okay sure". That doesn't do anything for the thread. It's useless and you just try to bump up your post count with it. That's not allowed. Members, if you see spam, please report it and I will deal with it. So, make your posts nice and long so it's enjoyable to read, and use propper grammer and punctuation. You will get a good reputation that way. Avoid spam at all times.

- No porn or sexual pictures: This is just common sense. Don't post any porn or any pictures of celebrities for that matter. It doesn't have anything to do with this forum, and nudity and stuff like that isn't allowed. We might have some younger members here so just make it an enjoyable place for everybody and keep that stuff at home, don't post it here. Please.

- No swearing: Don't use bad language. It's not fun to read through a post consisting of ten cuss words. Some people can handle cuss words, but some people can't, so just respect others and use nice language. I have word censors for most of the bad words, but still, don't use them. I don't want to read through a post with a bunch of stars blocking out the words, so cussing isn't allowed.

- No name calling: Why do some people feel the need to call someone else a name or make fun of them? Respect each other on here. Name calling is not allowed, and if I see you insult ONE member, your post will be edited or deleted. Once again, I want to see nice language.

- No advertising: Absolutely no advertising of other sites. That means you can't do it in your posts, or in your sig. I don't want you to try to get my members to join other sites, so advertising is a big no-no here.

- No multiple accounts: Do not use multiple accounts, because I will catch you, I will delete one of the accounts, and I will punish you. Just stick to the same account and post in that one every time! With one account, that's how you start to get recognized by other members with your good posts, so this can only help you!

Rules & Tips about Posting:

- Make sure you're posting in the right forum. When creating a thread, just double check and ask yourself "does this topic relate to music?" or something like that, just to make sure. Because I don't want to have to move threads to correct forums every single day. That's just a hazzard, so please make it easier for me and post in the right forum!

- Use the "Search" button to make sure this thread has never been done before. I don't want to see dozens of the same thread - just post it all in one thread. And members, if someone does actually forget to use the search button, don't yell at them with posts like "Oh my god use the search button next time!" just leave it alone and report the post to me. I'll deal with it. I hate seeing you guys get all mad and screaming, so avoid posting stuff like that in response to people who maybe don't know about the Search.

- No double posting. Don't post a couple different posts right after each other, just use the EDIT button and add it in to the first post. Double posting is not allowed, and that can also be considered spam! The edit button is very valuable, so keep that in your mind.

- No smilie overload: No more than 5 smilies in one post! Ok? I don't like reading through a post with 20 different smilies, it's so annoying. Because me for instance, I hardly use them at all. So don't overload on them. Just use one or two here and there, if you must do that.

Now that you just read all of the do's and dont's up above, you should know all of the rules. Here are the consequences for if you break ANY rule that I posted in this thread...

Consequences:

1st-time offense: Warning!
2nd-time offense: 2nd and LAST Warning!
3rd-time offense: This will result in a 3-day ban!

And then, if you break the rules 3 more times, you will get a PERMA-BAN on this forum and you won't be allowed back in! So follow the rules!

Mod/Admin Requests:

- It's ok to request a job for a mod or admin on this site. If you're interested in being a mod or admin, then fill out the survey in the "Mod/Admin Request Forum" and explain why you think you would be good for that job. And when I know that you're interested, I will watch you for about a week to see how good your posts are, and if I think you would be good for this job, I will let you know. So hurry up and request!

The Staff:

Right now there's only one member on the staff, and that's me, the manager and Admin of this site. But as we get more members, I will be adding more staff members, so make sure you make good posts and follow the rules!
